The NENDSA is a non-profit organization which serves families of children and adults with Down Syndrome, and interested professionals in the Northeast Nebraska area.
NENDSA was formed in 2012 by parents who felt a need to associate more closely with other parents of children with Down Syndrome.
Other goals of NENDSA are to have a yearly Buddy Walk in northeast Nebraska, bringing families of children with Down Syndrome together, and provide information for new parents of children with Down Syndrome.
Please join us for our 9th Annual Buddy Walk Saturday, October 31st in Norfolk, Nebraska at 10:00 a.m. at the Norfolk YMCA 301 West Benjamin Ave.
Our walk has changed sites. This year the walk will be at the Norfolk YMCA 301 West Benjamin Avenue in Norfolk, NE
The 2020 NENDSA Buddy Walk has been canceled due to COVID-19. We are very sorry for this and are hoping to make 2021 a very special event.
If anyone has questions about becoming an active volunteer for the Northeast Nebraska Down Syndrome Association and/or would like to help with our Buddy Walk or be a sponsor you can contact Gary Shada: 402-841-9376 or e-mail:garyshada@gmail.org.
Thank you to everyone who was a part of our 7th Annual Buddy Walk. I hope that all that attended had a great time and we hope to see you again next year. So far Northeast Nebraska Down Syndrome Association has raised just over $13,000.00. A portion of what is raised is sent to the National Down Syndrome Society in New York City.

The Northeast Nebraska Down Syndrome Association would like to give a GIGANTIC "Thank You" to Michael Billings of Valentine, NE. Michael donated over $1500 to the Buddy Walk this year. He raised the money by having a "Nacho Bar" in Valentine. This is the second year that Michael has made such a generous contribution to the Down Syndrome Association and we can't thank him enough for his thoughtfulness.
